Cineplay: The Job – Directed by Akarsh Khurana and written by Siddharth Kumar this play “The Job” is about a young candidate who turns up for a job interview to realise that it is not the typical question answer round. His academic training or knowledge has not prepared him for this great challenge but yet he is up for it. CinePlay is a new genre that cinematically captures a play. It blends elements of cinema and theatre to bring a whole new experience.

Gift a Book Exchange a Book – A festival of iDeas event – ‘Festival of iDeas’ is a platform for events organised by grassroot activist groups and curated by poets, writers, artists and curators without corporate or state agendas. The first ‘’Festival of iDeas’ will be held from 28th of December to 30th January in over 30 countries. ‘Festival of iDeas’ will identify and promote events and will not be organising any events. An event can be as simple as organising a get together in your living room to discuss ideas, exchange books read poetry or extract of books or oral storytelling. Last year as part of Festival of iDeas the ‘Gift a Book Exchange a Book’ initiative was launched at Rangoli Metro Center. This year the event will be held at Atta Galatta with a poetry reading organised by Kaavya Sanje group – A Poetry event curated by Kannada poet Mamta Sagar.

The End of Something – Bangalore Storytelling Society is holding a meet in Atta Galatta. If you are a budding story teller who wants to share his/her story about change then send in your entries and join the meet. First timers are welcome to tell. Time limit of 10 minutes per teller will be strictly followed and tellers MUST tell/perform their stories without looking at a script. Your storyline which could be metaphorical, a fable, a folktale, an urban legend or even a personal one.

An Evening of Conversations with Krshna – Atta Galatta presents an evening of conversations with author Krshna. The conversations will be around Indian concepts, customs and quirks. Krshna will read from her stories and will answer questions about life, her work and inspirations. She is a published author and has been featured in “Mango Chutney”, an anthology of upcoming Indian writers. She is currently working on her first Book. Her stories are from the heart and teach lessons about life in a fun way. Come hear her stories and talk to her.

Dahl Tadka – This is a super fun events for all Roald Dahl fans – kids or adults. You can choose one out of eleven books by Roald Dahl. Then choose one topic from a list of topics from that book and work on it. Do all the prep work in advance and on the event day present your chosen topic with your team. Your time limit is three minutes, for the presentation. There is no age-limit. Anybody can participate. These topics are guidelines. You may interpret them creatively. You can work either individually or in pairs or in groups of three or more. No limit on number of members in a group. To register, please email sonali.and.sharanya@gmail.
