What’s up Bangalore? Here at EventsHigh, it seems to be raining colours all around. We have Holi tomorrow and along with that, a truck load of Holi parties in Bangalore! We also have lots of Women’s Day events in Bangalore. There are two running events and a Cycle Day for the fitness enthusiasts, a Mumbai based metal band Bhayanak Maut coming to Bangalore with an exclusive gig as part of Stage 42, an all Women bike Rally on Women’s Day, Tales in Transit an anthology of 5 original short plays by Tahatto, a Street Food Festival starting this week and a Farmer’s Market on Sunday.

There is The Budweiser Colours Holi Bash Edition 2 at Keys Hotel, Whitefield with 6 Djs, 12 hours of foot tapping music, rain dance, dhol performance, belly dancers, colour cannons and lots more. Rang Utsav is a three day Holi fest in North Bangalore. On Day 1, March 6th you can play wet holi with rain & pool Dance. There will be live Punjabi Dhol and a Flea Market. On Day 2, March 7th play Dry Holi with EDM music. Day 3, March 8th has Mad Ads, Rock Bands and a Fashion show. Kids below 5 years have a free entry! Holi Reloaded at the Park Bangalore has the typical Holi stuff with Djs playing non stop music, awesome food, pool party, water balloons, brilliant cocktails and cricket fans can watch the India vs West Indies match. Yay!! The tickets are decently priced at Rs 500/- per person and Rs 800/ per couple. At The Park, Bangalore, 1 pm to 1 am. 6th March 2015.

Rang Barse 2015 is at PLAY on Sarjapur Road and offers 15 hours of madness with a massive outdoor set up, Djs, rain dance, live performances, unlimited access to the Food court with 25 counters, Organic colours, a children play area and unlimited Thandai. Children below age 5 enter free. At PLAY, Sarjapur Road, 10 am onwards, 6th March 2015. 

Run with Kiran Kanojia – The Blade Runner on the eve of Womens Day. Get inspired, get out there and give it your best, whatever challenges come your way. Kiran Kanojia lost her left leg in an accident in 2011. But that didn’t deter her and she started running. Since then she has run several half marathons and she will be running at the Contours Women’s Day Run 2015. Run with Kiran on 7th March, Saturday at 6:15 am, HSR BDA Complex.

All Women’s Bike Rally – Vijay Karnataka brings you another edition of this event. Join this event along with many other women of Bangalore. Registration is FREE. All women have to have a bike with a valid DL & Documents + carry a helmet. Registrations are also available on SPOT between 7:30am – 9:00am at the venue. At Jayanagar Swimming pool, 8:00 am, Sunday, 8th March 2015. 

Cycle Day is back in Whitefield this Sunday. Grab your bike or rent one and the whole family can have a fun morning. Starts at 7 am on Sunday, 8th March at Whitefield Inner Circle.

For your dose of music, head to Counter Culture and catch Bhayanak Maut as part of Stage 42 performances. Bhayanak Maut are a Mumbai-based groove metal act. and have recently released their third album – MAN. At CounterCulture, 9 pm, Saturday, 7th March 2015.

Catch some theatre at Atta Galatta with Tales in Transit. It is an anthology of 5 original short plays by Tahatto, written by Prashanth Nair, Badarivishal Kinhal and Piyush Agarwal. The stories are funny, mildly philosophical, entertaining and yet pass on a message about moving on – both for the artists and the audience. At Atta Galatta, 7 pm on 7 and 8 March 2015.

Last but the least, you must check out the #StreetFoodFestival at Church Street Social which kicks off on Friday, 6th March. There will be loads of Indian street food inspired food and drinks on the menu. So think Burritos with Mutton Biryani, Hash brown tikki chaat, Satay chicken Sev puri and even a DIY Gol guppa thali. Yumm!! For drinks you can have White rum Roohafza, Masaledaar Vodka Nimbu Pani, Gin and ginger Limca and more! At Church Street Social, 9 am to 11:30 pm, 6th March to 31st March 2015.
