Kengal Hanumanthaiah Kala Soudha, popularly known as KH Kala Soudha (KHKS), is THE place to perform. Designed by renowned architects and built by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), this place stands prominent amidst the serene environs of the Ramanjaneya temple, Basavangudi. Under the management of Pradarshana Kalaa Samsthe (Pra.Ka.Sam) it now has become a hub for performing arts. The state-of-the-art auditorium hosts dance, drama, music and movies. With a view to address the dearth of affordable places, KHKS is dedicated to Bangalore’s culturally-rich citizens and connoisseurs of art.

Maasti Kallu This play, unlike the original script which was about Roopa Kanwar, the Sati case in Rajasthan, has turned out into a love story. Shivaram Karanth in his Sarasammana Samadhi narrates how different women will behave in situations similar to Roopa Kanwar. Maasti Kallu’s reference is taken to prove to people that love exists in all situations and the play is being witness to one such instance. This love story is inspired from Shivarama Karanth’s epic novel ”Sarasammana Samadhi”. Sun, 30 Aug 2015 4:00 PM and 7:30pm.
